Windows Speech Recognition

Do you know that you can make new post to your blog, write a word document or update your Live messenger by using not your keyboard, but by speech? Yeap, speech my friends. If you’re using Xp and above, then you’re lucky. Windows is equipped with an application called Windows Speech Recognition (WRS). All you have to do is plug in a microphone into your computer, click

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Ease of  Access > Windows Speech Recognition

to enable this feature. Set up instructions is simple. Tutorial and training is given to new user in how to use WRS properly. I highly suggest you to perform all training modules, in order to Vista to recognize and learn your voice as your own voice. As you use it, Windows Speech will learn new words every time you speak into your microphone.

Except for memorizing commands, I have no problem to use Windows Speech as an additional input tool for my Office Words. The problem is, if I speak at normal pace, WRS can’t catch up with any of words I have said. WRS currently supports English (US and British), Spanish, German, French, Japanese and Chinese.

ps: ops! sorry for wrong intro video ^_^
